The School

Your child always comes first at Ovingdean Hall School. He or she will be part of a small nurturing community. They will be respected as individuals and they will be helped to achieve their full potential.

Severely or profoundly deaf children benefit hugely from the high ratio of Teaching and Care Staff to each child, one to one learning, the latest in hearing technology, and the support of deaf friends and mentors.

From the age of 10 until 19 your child will receive specialist support designed around their needs, including any additional special needs. Extra help can include speech and language therapy, physical therapy, one to one literacy classes, help with homework or fun after school activities that help with life skills or self confidence.

Children from Local Education Authorities across the country attend our school either as day pupils or weekly boarding.
